1996 golf vr6 highline, burton upon trent, £900 ono or swap why

i bought this car on christmas day last year and since then i have had the oil filter and fuel filter changed, the exhaust manifold changed due to the old one being cracked, ball joint, abs sensor repaired

P reg

clocks are showing just over 113k

10 months mot, no tax(you have to declare a car sorn if its not insured)

some service history

only modifications are lowering springs(very harsh!) and aftermarket air filter

alarm and immobiliser

car has started first time and everytime, mechanically car has been spot on, gear changes are clean and crisp, bodywork isnt the best and also isnt the worse, theres small patches of rust on some of the doors and front wings, me personally think it isnt too bad

list of other faults-

passenger front door window sometimes isnt working

no stereo

some rust as already mentioned

air con isnt working

drivers heated seat not heating up

no first aid kit

drivers front mirror casing is cracked

abs light isnt coming on when ignition is on, previous owner may have removed the bulb? the abs works after the abs sensor was repaired

ON A GOOD NOTE! the interior is excellent with no rips!

so anyway the price im after is £900 ono, will consider a swap for something more economal than a vr6 WHY?

Im guessing the chains havnt been touched? Is there any chain rattle on start up?

Has it climatronic? should do as its a highline but i cant see if has?

it hasnt got any history of its chains being done, but it doesnt rattle on start up, actually sounds quite smooth

what is climatronic or what should i look for?

Instead of 3 knobs to control your heating it should be buttons with a display panel :agree:

If you look closely at the first interior shot, you can see the knobs for the heater control :)

was going to view a r5 gtt today until the owner pulled out, anyone want to swap a r5 gtt for this vr6 with cash either way????? i dont mind a project either!
