Hi guys, just a quick one. As you mightve seen in the projects section I've got my engine out for a few reasons. One was that I was changing what I thought was a standard cam to a Piper 285 cam. The "standard" cam has the markings "270" near to the dizzy drive gear in the middle of the cam and a few "k"s along between the lobes, also has a "c" and "u" stamped on the very end nearest the flywheel.
Can anybody tell me if this is a 270 cam or similar.
Am I just being paranoid or have i taken apart a perfectly good engine for little gain:laugh:???

Standard cam my good man. Standards are marked with 270 near the lobes.
