wheels are way too big as are the arches, i just hope they dont plaster it with roony-esque chrome grills and detailing like so many cars have recieved recently

that white roof detail is a blatant rip from the mini and has no relevance to the 5

wheels are taking their design que from the punto abarth

i realy wish they would try and retain the essence of the car they are copying rather than just throwing dodgy design trends at them, you can bet its going to be about one and a half times the size of the original and about twice the weight just like the mini is, it is also bound to be built on the platform of a twingo like the beetle was built on the golf running gear, so instead of a new car you just end up with an old one with a goofy body that isnt as good as the one it was based on.
i realy hope by the time it hits the showrooms they tone it down and make it look a bit less essex
at the moment it just looks like paris hiltons latest fasion accesory :dearme:

Oh dear, not a fan. It just looks so bland, they should stop trying to recreate old models anyway

Yeh silly big wheels...and what the hell is going on with new cars high waist lines, soon we will be looking out of letter boxes. Is that really safe?

metal is more impact resistant than glass, hence the increased waist lines.

I quite like it, I'd love a new and old version of a GT Turbo if one was ever released again :)

I quite like it to, im sure with fatter bumpers, arches and a little rear spoiler it would look great.

This is true but visibility is so compromised compared to older cars, hence my point questioning safety.

They have the back end spot on, the front is very bland. I'd wait to see what the 'GGT' variant looks like - could be very interesting.
