petrol gauge

Hello peeps....ive got a problem with my petrol gauge and rev counter...often when im cranking the engine the rev counter goes wuld an starts flying rite up an down....also the petrol gauge needle is twitching an flickering....ive cleaned up all tge relay contacts an earths i can find...anything else to check or a possible cure....cheers :-):-)

have you tried cleaning the fuel sender under rear seats. its under a round black cap.
