I need to tidy up the front end of my 5 after my father backed into me with his defender.
Both the bonnet and bumper need replacing. Can't deside if to go bad boy bonnet or keep oe, i really like the look of the Louvered bad boy bonnet on Mikes http://www.gt-turbo-spares.co.uk car. Hope to wont look ott my ph2 peral white 5, tho and don't want to devalue the car either. What does everyone else think?

Also temped to go fmic but want to keep the oe look of the bumper, like the look of the forge kit, but bit to much dolla. Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated. Looking to keep the 5 as a daily so not gonna go ott on boost, but i know what its like get used to the power then just want to tweek this it a bit more. id say forget the bad boy bonnet and stay oe iv never been a fan of them at all, but its each to there own.

fmic wise you could go for a cosworth 2wd intercooler this is what i have on mine and it doesnt require any cutting of the front bumper etc, so keeps the oe look:agree:

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

I just fitted a bad boy bonnet to my R5 and I love it. Also put in some xenon HID lights and now looks really mean

FMIC look the business and I believe are the best for cooling, so you will twice by fitting one ;)

Still trying to make my mind up, any chance of a pic of your white r5 with bod boy fitted.

cosworth intercooler seems the way to go then, anyone know what pipe work i'll need. Don't want too many joins, which might leak.

Are any of these universal kits on ebay anygood?

Make sure its a 2wd not a 4wd. The 4wd require bumper mods ( as I had to do on mine ! )

Will the 2wd sit behind the bumper without having to cut any of it up? Leaning more towards the oe bonnet too, tho that lhd 5 looks tidy. Might even put some speedlines back on if i can find any, now uni royals are back.

looking good bud, does the oe grill fit over the top? What effect does that have on radiator cooling, have you got a bigger rad fitted? Thanks

Yes the oe grill fit with out any problems. I'm using VW water radiator, which is 24 inch long.
