does the chain sound noisy? very common for stretching then the cam sensor going out of sync with the crank sensor....:( have they scoped the sensor to see if its working? or just read the code and said cam sensors broke?

the chain does'nt even have to be noisy to put everything out of sync on those engines...very expensive job looming i think:(

No point in buying new parts if they are not faulty, do a resistance test with a multimeter.

the engine and chain is very quiet yer i looked it up on google and relised it may be the chain it will start but thinks hard of picking up it went to nissan and they did a code check and it came up with cam sensor
wipe the rocker cover off
if the chain tensioner is out more than 10mm the chain is knackered
i used to do these privately £500 all in using nissan parts with the engine in situ, can do the job in under 3 hours if you have done a few :)
