Hi gonna have a bash at the carb ,where can i get these parts from ? cheers.
or do i have to drill.


1.1mm ac jet
1.3 2nd stage
2mm needle valve

i think mike phase i 16 v turbo (http://www.rtoc.org/boards/member.php?u=380) has the jets mate im not sure about the needle valve tho pm him he is your best bet

You could either get the ac jet from Mike or the 2.0 needle jet from german ebay, the 2nd stage is a non removable jet and is standard 1.0 so what you will need to do it buy yourself a micro drill set:) Do you have wideband AFR kit?

personally I would just buy some solder, micro drill bits, check the sizes of what you have in the carb now if needed solder the a/c jet up and drill out using micro drill bit to the correct size.

The needle jet as said can be purchased a 2.0 already from ebay or open it up yourself with the micro drill set just be careful and make sure it seals properly.

Are there any seals to be replaced with changing these jets / Valve ?

its not long had a full seal kit so i wont be doing the whole thing.

alot of us tried those a while back and most of us binned them due to sealing issues. mines now on the shelf never to be refitted.

im going back to my home made 2.0mm drilled one which sealed fine.

feck........ thats not good at all :sad2:

I fitted mine last summer and didnt nitice any issues tbh.....although I didnt drive the 5 all that much to be fair

What are the symptoms of it not sealing??..... bugger to start, bogging down@ low rpms?

Interesting, mine seems fine. Did you give it a bit of as poke before you fitted it?
