 A picture tells a thousand words Andy.
But i'm guessing you're just missing the threaded studs & nuts & someone's replaced them with Bolts??
Just get yourself some threaded studs off Mike Phase 1 16V and then change them over.
As long as the carb top is held on, you're fine.

Alternative solution - Get a 90deg' silicon pipe and jubilee clip that onto the carb inlet, thus doing away with the elbow in the process.

QED. I use a Mikalor Clamp though - stronger!
If it starts to blow off at mega boost you can make a small adaptor for the carb top in 10 mins flat if you have access to a welder.
