Dimma R5 GT Turbo on Ebay

Hello all

Does anyone know anything about this 5? I have asked what turbo is on it as the ad claims 200bhp and I got a reply saying that it had a Graham Gooch turbo valve! I assume that its shaped like a cricket bat:D

Anyway I know that it is not everyones cup of tea but I like it so any information would be good...

Well 12 months mot suggests its either got a dodgy certificate or is solid underneath(reckon most likely dodgy/friendly MOT tester)

36,000 miles... really?? The clocks may show that but i doubt it.

Is it a genuine dimma kit? Unlikely...

Wheels look nice, engine bay looks OE/Untouched bar the chav valve & chrome rocker cober.... unlikely 200bhp.

So I would estimate a price of £1500-1750... but if he is happy to hold out for £2300 he may get it one day.

Yep, not the nicest looking vent on the planet which is shame as its a nice kit on the car

I have actually seen this car in the flesh

Bit rough to be fair, not worth the asking price in my mind with that horrable kit that's on it hence why it's been for sale for ages;)

Havn't had a good look round it mind so not sure what condition the shell is in.

I am no expert on the R5 GT Turbo but judging from the engine bay and slightly larger alloy intercooler, I assume that 200bhp is not really possible....

I appreciate that it may have a large turbo etc but would this not be a bomb waiting to go bang without the correct cooling and fuelling?

I do like the look of it but judging from the sellers answer to my turbo question, he has no idea about the car and how it works at all! Its probably fair to assume that the car could be in a terrible running state...

Back to the drawing board I think... :coffee:
