I thought slightly off 12 o clock due to condensation ?

right i have now got the lamba bung welded in, fitted it all up yesterday to find i carn't get the sensor in the hole with the downpipe on because the bulkhead is in the way, my only idea is loosen the down pipe put the sensor in and hope for the best, just it looks like its going to be very close to the bulkhead, how much room should be left the sensor and bulkhead to allow for engine movement. thanks. mike

Going off the engine movement I have seen on rolling roads quite a bit I would have said, probably at least an inch or maybe more. When the engine rocks it kind of sends the downpipe more up and downwards maybe slighly backwards and forwards.

How close is "close" ?

Generally it ought to be installed at the 10 to 10 past positions more than 10 inches away from the turbo if I remember rightly (Inovative equip)
Did you calibrate it? Did you need to?

And when you say all over the place do you mean it changes when you put your foot down or does it change when your say running along @ 65mph without changing engine load?

Well after reading the instrutions I'm even more confused, the gauges moves up and down when cruising off throttle, and when sat at 40mph. There is 6 different calibration settings.

It should be fine in the standard setting Mike, and it's pretty normal for it to jump around when your cruising off throttle (slowing down, overrun). It should be pretty stable when you accelerate in a high gear. It might jump around a little bit as the fueling wont be rock steady but it shouldn't go from 11 to 13 back to 11, etc. It might fluctuate +/- 0.2 say.

On my way 2 work this morning it was reading 13.5 idle, 10.0 sat at 2.5thousand revs at 40 mph. I carn't find any threads that actually tell u what kind for reading u r looking out, for idle or wot.

idle you want between 13.5-14.5, wot you want max around 12.0
