Apologies for hanging off your thread but I is in the same boat...

I've been advised that it might be best getting a custom job for this, i.e only just learnt that the exhaust housing can be different sizes! Not to mention the internals. Secondhand can be a bit risky, you can get a bargin or end up spending the same as a new one! Good luck and keep us posted?

a great set up is a turbo im getting done for gibbo soon

consists of using your t2 as a base then machining a t25 comp wheel, shaft and turbine into the t2 housings.
this will give you a good spool up still and make good power an ideal fast road/track turbo

if you want it for track then the above would be spot on, not sure how well it would work with a 285 cam though, id say a 270 might be better suited to it

I have the turbo from the link section on renault5gtturbo forum (from cr turbo's), its a t25 with .47 rear housing so not a full t25. With correct setup itl be good for 200bhp. And its around your price budget, sure adam, etc off here could do a smililar setup but i recomend it for fast road, bit of fun at pod

Mine made around 190bhp at 17psi on standard engine (see my profile for spec) - recently added a few bits though so when its running again plan on running around 20psi and judging by last RR result i should see a healthy 200bhp

It boosts early, not much different from standard, but obviously can handle more boost than standard.

I got recomended to fit a 270 cam so iv gone for that in the last couple weeks, but im sure a 285 would be fine

Dude, what is a full t25? size wise I mean! front and back?

Can someone give the sizes for a t28 also?

I spoke to a mate at work who mentioned he had a T3/T4 on his R5 back in the day, he said it was too big!

a t25 generally is a t25.49 ie off a tomcat (comp housing .48) or t25.64 off a 200sx

erm yes i think that turbo would of been pointless on a c1j did it even make boost?

As mentioned before round mine mate the T25 comes in different size housings and wheel trims, as Andy says the common one is a .48 front with .49 rear but could have different size trim wheels fitted if you wanted or go for different size housings to suit what you want from it.

The T28 uses the rear end of a T25 and the front of a T3, same as before can come in various size housings and wheels.

For track i think a T25/T2 would work well, keep turbine housing a wheel T2 but change comp side to T25
