View Full Version : Nordschleife (Nurburgring) 2012 prices
Abso-fecking-lutely shocking...
1 lap: €26.
4 laps: €95.
25 laps: €490.
Jahreskarte (year pass): €1445.
:dearme:
They've done away with the 8-lap & 15-lap option, so what you see above is all you can now purchase from the ticket office.
Bad times.

How much was it before? That does seem expensive.
was 21/22Euro a lap last year
I seem to recall a lap cost €16 when we done the first 'No bling at the Ring' rtoc tour, and that was...2007?
That was a fair price, maybe, but now it's a joke.
Said a few months back that I probably wouldn't drive the 'Ring in 2012 - Regardless of fuel costs, simply basing it on the lap prices alone makes that a definite now.
Absolute rip-off! FYI for those who are unsure, 26 Euro is £21 currently.
Least Euro exchange rate is going in right direction to make it cheaper, but still at that cost, I read last year that the 4 laps also got you a 10 euro voucher for food??

I don't think £1200 is too much money for a YEARS pass to the place?? Imagine if you lived nearby & you going go once a month, it's only £100 quid a month? You'd spend that on a hotel anywhere for a night?
I thinkg the prices for a few laps are very expensive though :(
I guess 1 of the ways to pay back the debt they've accumulated.....

A shame then that 99% of rtoc'ers don't live nearby, you geeza :D ;)
Dale, I think the free food voucher has now been knocked on the head as well.
I am happy with those prices ,you only live once boyz :smokin:
Mart ,whats the rest of the rough cost mate ? Hotels , fuel ,ferry ,fanny etc :agree:
You can make it as cheap or as expensive as you want mate.
Channel crossings...
Cheap: DFDS ferry @ £40-£50 return.
Expensive: EuroTunnel @ £100+ return, unless you book waaay in advance.
Hotels...
Cheap: B&B/Guest houses (eg, Gunthers, where we've stayed on previous NBATR trips) @ ~£40 per night.
Expensive: Hotel Tiergarten @ £90+ per night (slightly cheaper out of season).
Fuel...
Cheap: If you fill up on the A-roads/off the beaten track.
Expensive: If you fill up on the motorways/nearest petrol station to the 'Ring. I seem to recall the motorway services being ~€1.60 per litre for 97/98 ron when I went to Spa last October.
Fanny...
Cheap: Leg it in the morning & don't leave her your phone number.
Expensive: She phones you 9 months down the line congratulating you on becoming a dad.
Enjoy it. It's an awesome place, cracking atmosphere, and defo book a table in the Pistenklause restaurant (bolted onto the side of the Hotel Tiergarten) for one of their infamous steak on a stone meals, whilst soaking up all the motorsport memorabilia on show & enjoying a few local brews :agree:
i got it!! we cycle over (not joking) :p and cycle round the ring at midnight!!!
billy be up for it wont you!!

I'd love to be able to cycle to the 'Ring, but I think that sort of distance is still a few decades away
Anyway, my bike's only good in London :cooter:

If it takes 10-15 mins per lap compare it against go karting and thats around £15 for 10 mins doesnt seem too rediculous? considering the upkeep of the place?
i dont think its to much to bitch about,if your going all that way to drive the ring like.
im dreading the day that they turn the field overspill where the parking is into a proper carpark and it gets even busier,maybe....
I loved every moment of going last year, was a holiday of a lifetime... even though I wasnt allowed on the track :sad2:
tbh the experience of PROPERLY driving the nordschleife totally outweighs any costs that are charged to get on,now if ur doing it to say "ive done the ring" then yeah pointless waste of money and yeah might as well stay on the uk circuits....oh btw which non and i mean non of them comes anywhere near the experience for driver and/or passenger that u get on the nordschleife......as i see it if it is a problem then surely u can just take 1 paying pal with u and hey presto half price "ring" half price fuel.......sorted so everyone go out and get a pal...they can come in handy in this situation...then just dump em when u get home and never speak to them again .....
till next time ;)
Or bring 3 other mates, let one of them drive your car, they write it off round the ring, then they have to pay for everyone to get back. Its all about the ring taxi getting 4 of us back to Calais from Nurburgring :crap:
For the sake of once a year I don't mind paying. I only do 4 laps. Its more about the weekend as a whole, beautiful scenery, steak on a stone, decent company
Ricky youve forgotten the most important.......bitburger !! ;-)
