with all the tyre talk going on i thought i'd ask what size slicks i need to fit a 15" wheel for the 5? I have 195/45/15's t1r's which are good on the road by the way:D but want a set of slicks in the right size for the wheels, but the sizing is different and i havnt got a clue:scratch:

I use 7.5/21.5/15, but maybe you're buying metric?

Slicks are generally in width, diameter and wheel diameter so you should be able to work out which ones are a similar size to your road tyres.

this lot have a motorsport section who can supply new slicks to make your eyes water.....i think the 15 inch tyres are around £170 each...................used slick are usually poor if not well looked after.... slicks go off and dont last as long as road tyres............ be super carefull to buy some when seen and checked for cracks... "Grip" softener will bring them back for a few laps but they will be a very poor second to brand new slicks..............

There's a tyre shop just opened up a few hundred yards from Surrey guns, but that's new and didn't look like it has anything to do with motor sport.:sad2: 170 a tyre is to much for the odd trackday, so was looking at some cheap second hand ones, but if they're most prob going to be ****e I think il stick with the t1r's. Cheers matey;)

They are alot bigger to gary, 15" are an odd size and now quite hard to buy. Side by side they are closer to a 195 50 15, they will not fit under my arches. I have also tried 195 50 15 888s caught front and back to.

Im going for a replacement 195 45 15 proxys

I'm thinking of getting 14" track wheels with 195/50/14 888 if they do them now. But il prob just end up ruining the t1r's:laugh:

If you need some 6X14 oz f1's I have a set for sale, hardly used.
I found these to be some of the lightest/smallest wheels to cover 16v Clio brakes on an R5.

I have a set of 4 x Michelin S9B 15 inch slicks for sale, they are the medium / hard compound which will last well in the summer on hot tarmac, with a couple of mm left and pretty evenly worn. Reason for sale is i haven't got any more room for the Dunlops that I use for Rallying! A reluctant sale as these are great practice tyres, very sticky!

Not sure what to ask for them, i paid a fair wack when i bought them last summer... ill have to put an add in the classifieds when i get round to it!:)

If you want them then let me know and make me an offer - whats the going rate for 15's peeps, i pay 300 a pair for new.:eek::eek:
