I notice a very big change in peformance with my 5 with different weather. When its hot it feels very slow compared to when its cold. Im running a t28 and bout 20psi. When its cold,, turbo kicks in quite hard. But when its not cold and warm or hot,, i can hardly feel the turbo kick. ITs like losing 25bhp or somthin. Is this normal for such a big difference??

1bhp per 1deg C or something like that. which would be about right if you have a sh1te intercooler. also depends on barometric pressure too.

well, at the moment i have a pace intercooler and a pace chargecooler,, (ye i know you guys think its crap lol)

Have you got a seperate cold feed for air Filter cold air is more dense and therefore makes more power under bonnet temps also make a huge diffrence

I dont think cold feed for air filter will make much of a difference really :cartman:

performance will always be better when the air is cooler outside as the air is more oxygen rich as its cold so it shrinks so you got more more c02 in volume...also how far above sea level you live will play a part in how thin the air is ....just thought id add my two pence worth lol:coffee:

The air that is sucked threw the air filter is then blown threw the intercooler so the cooler the intake temperature the cooler the air deliverd to engine

its like a double whammy when its cold, colder air in, plus more effective cooling on the intercooler, perhaps you wouldnt notice so much with just your chargecooler fitted?

perhaps that also shows how effective your intercooler is.

was wondering of disconecting either the intercooler or chargecooler,, but not sure which one is less effective,, and i cant try it out cos im not in the country  but i miss my carrr  lol
