alright guys, just wondering if u can have a inter-cooler to big for a car? and what happens if u have got a inter-cooler to big, dose it just take longer to fill up with boost

and how do u no if u got the right size? and how can u measure ??

Bigger is not always better .The only real way to know is to measure the pressure drop and temperatures pre and post . A small well made/efficient cooler vs a big crap one . End tank shape ,airflow will all have an impact and at the end of the day you are not going to know if it does make that much difference without actually measuring the output .Seat of the pants feel is a lot to do with how much slimmer your wallet is :coffee:

thanks for the link.. the only reason i ask is i brought a intercooler for a transporter. it looks ok compered to some of the proper hi spec regys i have seen, its just i brought as much stuff for my raideer while i had the money.. and while it was being restored, so the cars still a non runner and im having all custom pipe work made up and once thats in i dont think im gunna be able to have the chance to check like for like comparison.. if that makes sensi?
