Central locking??

My central locking in my car aint working the best, when i try locking the car its like the solenoid aint strong enough to lock it? Only pulls slightly? Anyone had this problem?

Had this problem on 1 door cleaned the mechanism for the solenoid up and has been fine since. Make sure your battery is charged. Also the solenoid itself can be adjusted slightly sliding it away from the lock means it has to move less to lock it. If its both doors it may be a common fault so something like w bad earth somewhere etc...

Yep had this problem on my 5, so stripped mechanism out, soaked in a tin of diesel, toothbrush to clean muck off then greased and put back together been fine ever since. Did have to replace solenoid oneside although they are fairly cheap and easy to get hold of :)

Okk cheers guys iv got a brand new battery so it aint that il try cleaning them the weekend just car aint locking so need to sort it just like they aint moving enough

it may be the big white cartier relay thats gone crazy.
