Anyone got any tips for stopping the squeeks and squeeks from the interior fan? I am on my third interior fan now.

I have tried wd40 which works for a day then the squeeks return.

Any other spray greases you can recommend?

best whip out fan and put a small drop of oil in there.

yer the wed40 trick doesnt last long, like said take out and grease/oil - something that will stay there longer than wd40 - also if your not running a scuttle trim that covers the fan then get one

Thanks for the advice all. The fan(s) have come out numerous times for wd40 but I guess that is too thin an oil to do the job long term. I have purchased some Comma spray grease today and will whip it out again to give that a go. I have both covers in place.

Fan uses bronze bushes from memory and these require a 3 in 1 style oil as the bronze is porous. Grease will not be absorbed into bush.

Very useful info, thanks. I have looked at the motors on these fans and thought how good it would be to fit ballrace bearings...that is how fed up I have been with the squeeks!

I've fitted stainless ball race bearings in a perc fan once, was amazed by how fast it span and so quite. Just wish i'd took details down of there size.

Haha you guys crack me up! I didn't appreciate I had a friend Joey on board.

I looked at the bearings and I instantly thought of my Tamiya rc car racing days when I was a kid. The 1080 sized bearings look about right!
