Standard T2, piper 270 running 14-17 psi with the carb rejetted PROPERLY, should see you nicely around this mate, don't really need to do the cam, but just makes a nice boost to the torque curve...

Oh and to be safe you'd probably better strap the inter cooler..

it wont see him at 160bhp atw more like 160 flywheel still makes for a nice responsive 5gtt but i wouldnt run anymore than 16psi on a t2 as anything after that they are out of there efficiency

Search function on here is your best friend....

A T2/T25 hyrbid turbo, reject your carb (AFR Guage would be a great investment), 270/285 cam, strapped intercooler (dont need a bigger one really) will be perfect for 160bhp.... My old 5 was like this and that did 14.1 1/4mile at 99pmh trap suggesting 170-180bhp at the fly.

Not wanting to jump in on a thread here - but I might have a t2/25 hybrid turbo for sale at a decent price.. rebuilt less than a 1000mi ago by CR Turbos.

Best bet is got for a T2/T25, that'll work nice at those sort of pressures.

No avoid a grp A carb, rejet the standard one this will work much better but you'll need to use an AFR gauge to see how its fueling and then mod the carb accordingly

You can make 160 fairly easy, just get a t2/t25 hybrid and strap intercooler, adjust carb to suit boost.

take a look at my setup iv been running up until now

Rolling Roaded May at 17psi - 187.5BHP @6565RPM (104MPH) 163.1 lbft / 5291RPM

Unknown engine - standard cam, standard head, assume built to standard spec
relocated pipercross air filter
custom fmic and pipe run
cup mod
enlarged downpipe, scorpion system (2inch)
volvo valeo clutch
bosch uprated phase 1 fuel pump
Alloy carb top
braided turbo oil feed
t2/25 .47

Not a massive spec, but no cam change etc and some pretty good power on standard internalls

FMIC is a ****ing Massive Intercooler and obviously the pipework that takes it back to the carb and turbo.

The cup mod is when you get a paper (or polystyrene ) cup, poke some holes in it and use it to replace your air filter. Look on the articles, there is info about how to undertake this mod. ;)

As was just mentioned, I recommend you read through the articles section. http://www.rtoc.org/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=17

Start with the FAQ. http://www.rtoc.org/boards/showthread.php?t=4762 The links are not working and photos are missing but it might help a bit to give some of the knowledge you're seeking.

Where's the oe intercooler positioned? At the front. So that makes it a front mounted intercooler ;)

I'd go with ****ing Massive InterCooler :D
