Sticking Presure Relief Valve

When i pull the sump off, will i have to remove the oil pump to see if the pressure relief valve is sticking or ill i be able to access this in situ?

Also if it is stuck, can i free it off or is it a case of a new/refurbed pump?

You can pull the bottom half off the pump easy, thats where the relief valve is.

Once removed the relief valve and spring lives behind the split pin which goes through the tube on the body, once removed everything should fall out so you can clean it all out and see why its sticking
