I was in the garage from 12-5:30 and my god it was freezin!

Ive got a concrete prefab garage with an asbestos roof and i swear its colder in there than outside sometimes lol.

I got some work done, but not as much as i wanted to.
I was getting the new chargecooler in.
I got it fitted, plumbed in and full of water but a couple of joints need taking out and sealing so i gotta get back in there tomorrow night to sort them then hopefully i can fill it with water/antifreeze.
Then its just get the new boost hoses fitted and test drive it.

I would get so much more done in a decent garage

I use my work premises with my own tools. I had the luxury of a two post ramp and full heating last week, it almost makes working on cars (which I hate) worthwhile.

last year, because I had no space in the garage I did a bottom end and cylinder head on/off on a volvo turbo engine outside in the snow and ice. laying in snow, under the car, removing a sump was not much fun, and every other bolt was either siezed in or snapped off. no feeling in hands after 20 minutes

But at least you can see a lot better in the snow as it reflects the light.

A few years ago I change my turbo in a medium blizzard, I was leaning into the engine bay with the bonnet resting on me to keep most of the snow out.

It wasn't as bad as doing it in high wind or the rain, as it was less wet.
