Try as I might I've spent the last hour searching the site looking for a guide on how to set the choke up. My 5 was due an MOT re-test this morning and it wouldn't start then the battery went flat and I missed it. :mad:
. It almost went with the choke lever off, spluttered then stalled. Can anyone post me a guide or a link to one please?
From what I have found it could be the acc pump jet. Who knows, bloody carbs, it ran fine last time I used it in the autumn.:scared:

You shouldent really need choke to start it tbh, whats the rest of the carb like?

It ran ok last August, seems hesitant on sudden throttle when it did run, you have to feather the throttle in for the 1st second or so then it's ok to welly it.

Is it possible to get a new pump jet lever? Mine has got jerk on the choke.

i had a simular problem once found the ht lead was rusty at sparky end
