I was wondering whether someone could advise me on whether it's worth buying a new inner windscreen seal for a small fortune from Renault, or whether a second hand one would suffice. Reason I ask is because as the seal is wire ringed and the eBay advert for CGB for example states some surface rust may be present.

As this to lay on top of new paint after the windscreen surround has been restored will it be better to buy new?

might be worth having a chat with peeps like http://www.autoglass.co.uk/ see if you cant get an inner trim from them :)

Thanks for the information, I just gave them a call but unfortunately they said they would recommend using the OE inner seal though. :crap:
