R/H steering ball joint might be the track rod end on your steering rack.
Top steering column bush available from CGB for defo may even be available from mike http://www.gt-turbo-spares.co.uk/. Easy job to change.
Steering lock should be available from either the above.

Is a steering lock part of an m.o.t?

ive never heard of it as a fail before. just stick a security lock through your wheel see what he says about that lol

Thank **** for that, you had me heart going for a min then, m.o.t's booked for the 26th and the steering locks not working lately, Just done some reading up on google about it, you dont need a steering lock for the m.o.t as its not a safety issue, i just read some bloke had taken his for an m.o.t with his ignition barrel hanging off and a screwdriver for a key, still passed, lol.

A working steering lock will be needed for the new MOT rules. From what I read it will be an advisory from this month but a failure from April. It won't ALL be about safety soon.....

It sounds like they mean track rod end on drivers side. Ive heard the steering lock needs to work for german tuv.

I'm guessing steering lock will only have to work if it actually has one fitted. Saabs don't have them, they use gearbox lock.

Yep so unless you drive a Saab it'll have to work! :D
