View Full Version : No clutch???
Finally got my engine running sweet after a few problems.. But now iv got no clutch? I carnt select any gears?
Dont think its the clutch..
Maybe clutch cable as the one i have isnt a genuine renault one and when pulling the cable it seems to have a lot of slack, i tried bodging as iv read on here to tighten it but stil nothing
Any ideas???

check the adjuster on the pedal hasnt backed off, worn teeth is a common fault.

just above the clutch pedal theres a spring that clamps two gears together one has the cable attatched to it, you can adjust the pedal via this ratchet, the teeth wear out and cause the pedal to be crap and/or no pedal

if the engine hasnt been run for awile . it could be that the friction plate has rusted stuck to the flywheel.
put it in 5th clutch down, brakes hard on, and crank on the starter.
this normaly frees off the friction plate :)
Ok sound il do both of the above see what happens
Cheers
