i want a new welder for home to do my 5 but what would anyone recomend i am a hgv mechanic but the ones we use cost thousands and are to big anyone got any advise i want a gas one i dont like gasless

All depends how much you want to spend mate? Sip and Lincoln electric are decent welders alot of the better welder have 2 settings coarse and fine adjustment in my experience haveing the fine adjustment is just what you need with thin metal from either producing decent welds or pigeon sh@t:laugh: mat.

GSF carparts sell SIP welders, might be able to give you a good price. :)

Out of interest will gsf give you the rtoc discount on welders etc or is it jus car parts? Mat

that is a VERY good question. i'll have to ask my boss on tuesday ;) although i know the answer will be "no" as the garage equipment section is to 'trade' only, so no club discounts is my guess.
