Had a go this afternoon at enlarging my standard turbo elbow after not having much luck at getting a second hand one:

Used a die grinder and a burr followed by some 180 grit sandpaper, took less effort than i thought it would! Thought the metal would be a lot harder!

No didnt think about taking any pics before, but it was a standard One, I had quite a nice pile of metal on the bench by the time I had finished though, hopefully will be slightly better. Can't be any worse!

I did contemplate filling the hole with chemical metal but decided it wouldnt make much difference.

I will at some point have a go at making a brand new elbow with a 2.5" mandrel bend and some 2.5" v band flanges, and mate it up with my 2.5" crossover pipe.

The last turbo i fitted i made a new one piece elbow/crosssover pipe, it was 2.5" ish from the turbo then reduced down to the standard croosver pipe size, the turbo was the same size/ar as the previous one but felt so much more responsive, i put it down to the better flowing elbow!
