I'll never use AVG again, after their balls up a year ago. They released an update that corrupted a load of people's computers, mine included! Despite their 'resolutions', I never managed to recover it :mad:

i have been using avast free antivirus and spybot search and destroy to remove spyware for years now without any problems, highly recomend them both :agree:

Its not often that I endorse Microsoft products - but Microsoft Security Essentials (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/products/security-essentials) has a low overhead , fast scan and frequently updated virus / malware base.
