These damn sideskirt repair kits!?!

Now all my weldings done ive just got to put my sideskirt on, all the original fibreglass hanging lugs had snapped off due to being bonded on by a previous keeper so i have brought the repair kit and new clips from cgb, some of you may have used these kits in the past and id just like to know whether you have to bend the angle of the metal repair tabs at all because i cant get the skirt to sit close to the sill, ive bonded the repair plates on but have got to wait for the tiger bond to dry before i attempt to fit, any help appreciated, Tim

If I remember the clips look like they go on one way but actually sit the other way up and the plastic kit slides in behind them, I'm 99%

id say if you have at least one original lug left use that as a guide.
