Hello,

got 5GTT and as its all rusty, was thinking of buying a 28k km campus and change all to that shell.

Have anyone done this? I have no idea what expences to expect. The job will be don by a friend so thats coverd. Its just the things that can go wrong or expensive is what wories me... Are there anything diferent GTT and campus shell?

Thanks,
Martin

As far as I know mate the shells are the same except the campus shell doesnt have the mount for the rear compensator valve,im sure some other members may have some more info later in the day.

Campus also have different rear beams (wouldnt bother changing unless u want it to be an exact replica of a GTT)

Worst thing about campus reshells if the campus has plastic trims on the sides, you will have holes down the doors & rear quarters (may as well full respray if u take them off), or just put the GTT running gear & have a street sleeper :)

It has the door cards... Thats a thing I dont like. What about the windows, are they tinted the same or will i need to change them for GTT, becous of back side windows?

Theres a fair amount you need to change if you want to convert a campus to gt, i have done a few gt turbo conversions in campus's before and that was only engine side and still it needed a fair bit.

Lets just say if you want to make it complete gt the only things left from campus will be shell (that needs modding slightly to fit arch's), subframe and the steering column

i had done it before.l found no problems fitting rear brake compensater or any other parts. some have different type of door hinge pins and different type of steering racks
