anyone had any experience? basically yesterday morning it wasn't too cold, about 5deg and car cut out when clutch depressed, gave it a boot down the road and all was ok,

then last night it was 3deg and it would intermittantly judder as if engine was momentarily cutting out, then come back again

this morning did the same, juddering when driving, almost like it misses a beat

fuel filter is genuine renault replaced 6k ago, although it does have half a tank of tesco diesel that i put in about 3 weeks ago... recon its waxing in the filter?

any advise appreciated

Perhaps just heater plugs, doesnt normally need them to start but at these temps they'll be required more, easy enough to test compare resistances youll usually get them shorting out or open circuit. Theyre also in use while running.

awesome thank you :)

for what its worth i'll prob put plugs in anyway now even if they are not the cause, as its starting to get colder

have seen a few renault diesel fuel filters with water in them might be worth cleaning and changing the fuel filter, same sort of symptoms as you described ;)
