anyone have any picture of a black gt turbo with tinted windows?? (and lowered)... id like to see what my car would look like wen tinted..

i think gtt's with very dark tint is a bad move in the looks department,save it for the vip's.
i have a very light tint and tbh will be removing that shortly,so if you have to id go light smoke an no darker.

yes hes dead right police are getting well funny on it now and can get a fine and and get told to take it off the windows there and then ect :agree::agree::agree:

No no no, dont do it, maybe a very subtle tint in the back 3, but leave the fronts alone.

I got the lightest tint i could on my front windows on and old car, i was told the tint was legal. Got a pull, tested and had to rip them of there and then. The VOSA inspector said the tint was very light and was probably legal but all cars have a factory tint in the glass and as soon as the legal tinted film was applied, it was then past what was allowed. So out of curiosity i asked him it test the factory glass, it was about 1% of being illegal, thats how close the manufacturers make them.

apart from risking a run in with the police, to me tinted back windows on a black car always makes it look like a VAN

Ive been thinking of tinting the windows on mine for a while.
Now ive seen pics of another white 5 with tints and black wheels im going for it.
As i got perspex instead of adding tint im going to buy some black perspex for the rear 1/4s and rear window. Mainly so you cant see whats inside, then light tint the fronts (its hard enough to see as it is lol)

Take a leaf out of my book and get it done,mind you I might take mine out for when I start attending the track days next year,vision out of the windows is paramount.

Its your car that i was talkin about lol. Even got a black sunstrip like mine.
I think it looks good.

I drive a van all day and most nights so am used to not being able to see anything lol.

Iv tinted mine on my black 5, il dig out some pics. personal preference isnt it really. Im a tinter so did mine anyway, can take it off if need be. Agree it doesnt allways look best on black cars, and is a shame you can only tint rears

heres mine, 20% on the rear, and 50% on the front and a 20% sunstrip - im going to redo them next year i reckon and go with 30% all round, a slightly lighter shade
