View Full Version : Uprated master cylinder possibility??

I heard somewhere that there is a larger master cylinder that fits straight on the 5's off another vehicle, im sure it was 306 non abs but want to see other peoples experience, if anyone knows anything regarding this please share:) thank you

It was the mk 2 gti.

I think the part number for it from gsf is 652VG025 but would need to double check

Either mate, think mines off a 172 cup (non ABS), steevo may confirm if he's around.

Is there any difference with a change of the master cylinder,less braking effort ect ect :)

I did notice a big difference but I changed to 4 pot calipers at the same time

oh i see, ive just been doing a bit of research and the gt cylinder is 19mm diameter and the golf gti 22.5mm according to gsf specs, so in theory sholud move more fluid with less of a push, worth a try i think.

golf rallye, mine is 24mm thereabouts, brakes are now amazing but i have got 325mm hispecs so needed the extra volume

if you do the maths it's a smaller dia master cyl you need
