I've had some mounts made up for me using the same Landy mounts scoff uses.
Anyone interested?

I've spoken to the fabricator and done some sums I think they'd cost £60 for one or £110 for a pair posted with V8 mounts included.

Replacement mounts for these are under a fiver so if you break one it's a cheap fix.
Do they come in red? :)

You'd have to let me know what colour yours is as I think Scoff's came in red or blue in the first batch. But can't see that being an issue. :)

Well hopefully the first few will be finished soon. These pretty much already have buyers. A big thanks must go to my local RTOC members for showing there support from the start. :agree:
If we can start an famous RTOC list so I have an idea of if a second batch is worth a go.

will be on the second run as these guys said they would want a set when I first started to try and find some to make them so get a option on the first ones.
I'd like close to ten people interested before getting a second run together.

Just picked up the first batch of mounts. :)
Once all the lads have picked them up and I've fully paid up with the fabricator I'll get hem to start on the next lot. ;) hopefully that'll be in the next two weeks.

I've just found that I ripped my scoff rear mount apart tonight, good job the landrover replacement part is cheap and replaceable! might have been when I did the clutch! Going to make a retaining clevis/clip for it when I rebuild. The welds and steel are all still perfect!
How long for batch 2? I might put my name down if they are going to be quick?
I'd not like to say but I suspect they'd be at least a month away at the very best.
Once I'm all squared up I'll ask him to crack on and with the next lot. I'll post on here and P.M. people that have shown intereste when that happens.
The mounts Ready to fit to my car.
Will bring them to the Ace cafe on Monday if anyone there wants to take a look at them.

I fitted mine up last night. Perfect fit for a direct replacement on your originals.

I spoke to the fabricator yesterday he's going to get onto the laser cutters and stuff so I should know by the weekend what's going on.

As for the colour I'll happily paint any mounts but be warned my skills go as far as a paint brush and some hammerite.

Any news on these logg?
Just had mine powder coated today for free ;) can't wait to get them fitted at the weekend.

The flanges have not been cut yet so no sign of any mounts yet. Sorry lads I am ringing the fabricator daily so when I know anything you guys will.
They looks good with posh paint on them Jon.

dont worry to much about the time frame , what with the cold weather at the moment, most peeps are unlikley to be in a mad rush to get out there and get it on :laugh::laugh:
You guys will be doing better than me I'd been waiting for first set since September and my new downpipe and other bits I'm still waiting. The other two fabricators I tried to use where evern worse only seemed interested in easy work. :cry: Soon as that's ready I'm out and fitting everything no matter the weather. :)

Right I've got the first set of mounts sat here who's needing them first out of you lads on the list? Can post them out Tuesday next day delivery or collection from the Ace Cafe on Monday (French car night)
The fabricator has sprayed them in gray primer. So untouched my hammerite brush strokes. lol
so posted its £115.50 including the PayPal fees or £100 cash collected

But on a brighter note I have my five back on the road with v8 mounts all round. There's no extra dash rattles or vibration. Bit of luck it will be at the Ace Monday if anyone wants to have a look. :D

:eek: I should have my new engine going in in the next couple of weeks! Dont suppose you got any ideas on timescales?

Just fitted these to mine and I gotta say, Logg top work fella the fit is near perfect, I say near perfect as the hole in the top of drivers side braket so u can access the nut on mount just needs moving over to the drivers side by 3 maybe 4mm just to let a socket to clear abit easier, other than that there perfect fella.
I was thinking I was going to have to fit a forth mount on mine to prevent engine movement but now combined with Scoff's rear mount it doesn't move at all:eek:

I'll second this Logg, not fitted mine yet, but noticed I was going to have to open the hole up a little to aid tightening the nut..

Yeah i did notice the engine side hole needed moving slightly after the first batch and asked for it to be moved but the man with the lazer cutting forgot. :cry: a socket is a very tight fit but does just fit on.

Fitted mine today. First impressions seem very good, there is a little bit of vibration at idle but that was to be expected.
I have only been for a short test run as the weather is bad. On acceleration i have noticed the back end squats straight away as the forces transfer through the car rather than the mounts first. Definitely get 10/10 from me, im off to the fast show at pod next week so ill test them to destruction :D

Sorry my little RTOC bud's but uncle Logg will not be bring any engine mounts to national day as only three is not enough to get a batch made and would of put the prices up to get made. Five would of been the minimum. :cry:

Hi Pedro I'm not too sure about posting to Portugal as If I did It would have to be fully insured and tracked which I'd imagine would not be cheap.

Due to the amount of time and trips to the fabricator it takes to get these made and the hefty sum of my own cash i have to put in upfront I won't be getting more made. Unless my car needs major fabrication work again so am doing the trip anyway.
