well where to start
ive had the helmet(so called cause its bellend purple) for seven years
and was in two minds to sell or restore
but when the crunch came i crumbled and couldnt sell it
so the plan now is to restore back to the factory red and remove all the rust
all on a budget of ride all
the nsr quarter is the worst part
the jacking points are rotten as well but the sills are in decent nick
a little rust round the screen but shouldnt be to hard to put right
looks like uve got a wee winter of welding to do  ..will be worth it when its finished :smokin: will be watching this ...as its a smart as fook 5 :D

well its been along year and ive missed the 5 very much ideed
so the decision was made in october last year the helmet was scrap:cry:
however mat@codered was kind enough to sell me a very clean shell which required very little doing
a deal was struck and i dragged my ass to kent and back a happy bloke indeed
since the ive repaired the screen surround and a little of the osf (behind the headlight)
also got the shell inside and out in primer
all being well it will be at national day this year wish me luck

Well my painting experience amounts to hee and haw
So over the next few weeks ill flat the primer back then get the top coat on
I just wanted to be able to say I painted it so its a very steep learning curve
The prep takes forever and you can't spray at home as the paint travels
Don't want to cover the local cars in over spray
Good work, that's a fair trip :agree:
I was the same boat after my pride and joy went up in flames in 2005, I was ready to throw the towel in, but like u say everyone needs a hobby :)

Clio gordini racing blue
It's the first time I've sprayed anything and its worked out ok
Thanks to the guidance of or painter
Don't have much of an imagination on these things so when it came
To colour choice it's eventually going to look like my clio

New shell looks familiar :)
Awesome project!!! Bookmarked :)
Non standard GTT resprays always require the right wheels to pull off the look and I think it's going to look great on those :agree:

I've just carried the wheels over from the last car
Ideally I'd like clio Williams wheels

I seriously considered breaking this lot a couple of weeks back and buying yours
I've been put onto nightshift and our house has just when up for sale
So spare time is null and void
Can't believe no one has bought yours it looks sweet as a track/sprint car

Track night @ knockhill
actuator pipe blew off went from 12 to 18 psi never noticed in time(passing mx5)
ran lean:cry:
said I'd never give up on the c1j but I've just bought an f7p feels so wrong
onwards and upwards! As long as its a turbo f7p then it will be all good!!
n/a GTT = :disagree:
Yes, if it's naturally aspirated then you could as well pry off the last T from the 5GTT.

Really hoping this summer Chris
The fundamental essentials are almost done
The wiring and megasquirt will be the test for me
I'm pretty competent with electrics however electronics and computer interaction with them are alien to me
Would like to make some shows this year but I'm realistic enough to say I've got two 40 birthdays this year
That will consume all fre £££
Have you still got Emma's lpg 5 on the go?
Always wondered how things went with that
