Anyone know a good company for insuring a modified classic? Hic have doubled the price and footman James won't cover me without having rear seats.

Graham sykes might be worth a try?

HIC have always given me a policy that allows most modifications - roll cage, dampers etc....

Did they not even give you an option?

Dont have a claim... simples...
Or if you can get an agreed value have a higher value...

HIC/FLux are a joke.... having issues with Flux for a claim in feb (havent paid out yet to my Hirer car company), FJ I had admin issues with them, took a while to get resolved.. unsure it is but they have stopped writing to me after I put a complaint in so Assume its all ok.

Im with hic, same, cage no back seats, i struggled last year, so i dare say hic are going to whack it up me to.

Try competition car insurance, i got mine insured for 3 months with them a few years back, they covered everything, it was a bit pricey because i did have a dd40 on my licence.

Might be worth a phone call :)

Any company will mess you around on a pay out I have found in the past. Flux insure my Anglia with cage no back seats cossie lump 200sx rear end and a long list of other mods agreed valve only £212 a year. I also have a policy through the custom street rod association, you have to join the club but then you get a discount scheme.
