Where do most of you store your car? I'm currently spoilt and have a nice garage but I may loose it and I'm thinking of selling the car because of it but how many other keep their cars outdoors or even under a lean to.

The only good thing about a garage is they are dry....

Nothing wrong with keeping a car on the road/drive... Covers can scratch paint..never done mine but then none of my cars had mint paintwork :)

Both of mine stay on the driveway, i used to live elsewhere and had to park the car on a 1 way street. All i can say is the locals must have been short sighted or talentless, parallel parking but scuffing the corners of the front and rear bumpers or clipping the wing mirrors :sad2:

TBH i'd hate to have a half decent car and have to park it on the street/road. There's no way i would have done the white Clio if there was no driveway to firstly do the project and second leave it there all the time.

I store my car on the street and always has been for the last 4 yrs or so,been ok and never had any probs before.as for the winter its a diffrent story the body work can take a beating on the paint work if any bare is left untreated ive found, not even under covers either.its one of them in my eyes you have a drive all good or even a garage but if not then its the road.
not being funny but if your bothered about parkin the car in the street and worried about getting scrached sure anythink could happen to the car when you go out in the car and park it on any other normal road/high street like.
let not forget on what happened to mikes cosworth and benjis tungy grey car:sad2:
I think some times the car is better off and safer in the street parked up than left in some car park down the high street you never know on whos around parking next to you.:(
but dont sell up though mate.

In my 40 foot double garage, soon to be bigger, room for at least 4 gt turbos and the rs4. You welcome to come and pretend your cars stored at mine... Don't sell up Marc you muppet Wang just keep it going.

My 5 is getting kicked out of the garage onto the drive in a couple of weeks so the Esprit can hide in there over the winter. The 5 did live on the street for a while, but some git broke into it and robbed my 4-point harnesses. Busy fixing the door lock now so its secure again. Some dirty chav kicked my M3 evo last year on the street outside my gaff, beat the rear 1/4 and passenger door in. On a Sunday afternoon too! Feds cought him but wouldn't press charges. Gits...

Spent the last 2 weekends sorting out security lights, steering wheel locks, alarms, fixing the garage roof and working on one of those waterproof fitted car covers. Reckon it should be good under the cover, keeps prying eyes and the rain off.

Don't like leaving things on the road, but needs must when we have too many cars!:D

Supposed to be a nice area round here too........!

Those photos were taken a few days before this year's National Day. It was just a protective layer to keep the weather off of it . A quick going over with some wet and dry, and it looked as good as new on the day :D

i keep my 5 out side in a private car park round the back from were i live i have 1 of these covers below and heres what i think of them
hiya yer i got my cover from http://www.coveryourcar.co.uk/stormforce.htm a few weeks ago and ive had it on ever since usually try to get the 5 out once a week.
the cover has been very good good fit and comes with straps that go under neath the car to help hold it on.
i live on the isle of man and sometimes it gets very very windy and its been fine only thing ive had to do is make up some clips to hold the cover down over the back bumper.
its kept the 5 dust free and tidy my paint work is very good and polished to a high standard and its been fine so i would recommend the cover 2 any 1 quick post 2 :agree:

I used to rent a garage when i lived at my mum n dads.
People put garages for rent adverts in sweet shop windows, about £40 a month round here.

Worth a look if your worried.

me mom n dads garage,

im going to afghan for a year so will be ages before i can work on her. but im having a sexy double garage built so when i come back it will be bliss.
currently have a jaguar xj6, peugeot 205 gti, peugeot expert van, missus fiat seicento, and my go kart at my house so a massive garage is essential.

I keep mine in my neighbours huge garage, probably be able to fit 5 cars in at a push great workshop, awesome sound system, fridge and brewing tackle sometimes I have to pinch myself couldn't ask for anywhere better less than 10 meters from my door.

One day however i will have to move it, then it will be back onto the road, unless i move to a place with my own garage or driveway. Previously it was kept on the road for 7 years and after all that time it definatly has a few shall we say weathered bits!!
