Have bought a second hand engine, got all pipes sused out but have noticed tat the previous owner has taken away the swirl pot and ran the pipe from the sump breather to the rocker cover. The only problem is there is an extra pipe from the t piece i cant find a place for. Any ideas. One of the ports at the back of the inlet manifold has been blanked over too. Perhaps the original place for the pipe? Bit of a puzzle:confused:

By sounds of it the spare pipe coming from the T-piece will go to some sort of catch tank or have a breather filter on the end of it

Would it be ok to fit one of those breather filters. not do any damage?

Was looking at oil catch tanks could fit one of them to the hose end then a breather at the other, sound ok?

If you going to fit catch tank then no need to have filter too mate, running the pipe to the tank will do fine as the tank should have its own vent on it

Right o matey! Also the breather that normally goes to the hose to the turbo from the air filter is gone as another mod was made perhaps it was that hose but i think a catch tank looks like a good option and quite cool looking so ill go with that cheers for the help

Sounds like the cup mod has been done. Gets rid of a few breathers and stops re circulating the exhaust gasses back through the engine as it can get messy.
