I nearly went for one of these only a 9180 but had already brought a manifold for use with an external gate. A turbo out of the box with all the bells and whistles:)

There's been some horror stories about the EFR's in terms of shafts snapping and compressor wheels comming free ! Otherwise they seem to do the numbers just fine. I still prefer the precision range, maybe because more people have tried them and had good success, I'm not sure, but BW offer some good value for money.

Borg Warner suffer really badly with metal fatigue. They're the only turbo manufacturer I've seen it happen with over and over again. Compressor wheels literally explode from high boost levels.

They're so bad we don't even re-man they're product for the Audi/VW 1.9 deisel range, we make our own Garrett unit to replace it.
