hi there is there resonably priced digital speedo out there any were and car be 1 made to fit the 5 if so how does it work thanx?
seen this would this type of thing work if so is it fairly easy to wire into a 5?

piece of cake to fit.
wire up the main dash with a =ve, -ve and possibly a switched live.
Dependant on what guages you are fitting, they will come with leads and plugs, but since you are interested with the speedo, you'll need to run the cable from the main unit down to one of front wheels. You'll have to make a bracket to hold the sensor in position but we found that you can bond the magnet which is supplied with the kit onto the inner pert of the outer CV and then make up a bracket to get the sensor within the specification.
After that it is a simple matter of telling the unit how far the magnet travels per revolution.

helps a bit but am no to good at that type of thing how would a bracket be made? and how do you tell it how many revolutions its doing

I don't think I can tell you how to fabricate a bracket.
when it's been round once.......that's one revolution. Setting up is all included in the instructions when you buy it, bet you can find them on line tbh.
