Hi all,
My car is stalling when i let go of the throttle and when im braking. (clutch paddle pressed)
When i shift back it backfires like hell.
Anyone of u technicians know whats wrong?
grtz, Sam
Sounds like your idle mixture jet is blocked

Check none of the vacuum pipes are split.
If the idle jet and vacuum pipes are okay, take off the one way valve to the brake servo and see if it's working as it should.
Has the little needle valve popped out of the base of the carb?

may be a vacume or boost pipe come off or loose check all of your jubilee clips are tight on all your hoses and pipes especially around the carb.:)

Ive checked al hoses. All okay.
If i rule out the vacuum of the brake servo. It is still the same. (when braking hard)
The engine stalls when braking. But i use the brake pure mechanical. (no vacuum attached)
How is this possible???
Where to look now?
Could be one of the following - Air leak on inlet, mixture jet blocked, idle c.o mixture too lean, tickover too low??
