After 10 years of owning a 5 (the same one)... here are my following fears. Some major some are minor... all are annoying as hell!! :crap:

1) When stuck in traffic after boosting hard, the smell of burning oil, watching in the rear view mirror hoping it doesnt start puffing full of smoke..

2) Stuck on a round about, using your stiff clutch moving forward and back not moving much,, hoping it doesnt snap!!

3) Driving a low 5 where bumps in the road feel like speed bumps and speed bumps are like trying to get over a mountain (hoping it doesnt take the exhaust off while going over!)

4) Parking up in Asda or Tesco car park, and the door doesnt shut,, having to smash it real hard to get it shut! lol

5) Miles from home on a nice road, decide to have a bit of fun, driving like you stole it, and your fan belt snaps  and your in the middle of no where

6) Holdin foot down at the end of 4th or 5th gear, hoping the head gasket doesnt let go..

Hmmm cant think of any for now,,, if anyone has any more... feel free to add :p

or set on fire

Thats my worst fear... I don't like leaving it to go into the shops or service stations... Usually check under the bonnet for smoke or flames before walking away... :scared:

Don't panic, build it right and you will have no problems ;)

I worry in every car I drive, old or new
In the 5 though...

Will it start.
Is that a new rattle?
Will it catch fire.
Is it going to blow away in the wind.

I only seem to use it for longer journeys as well!

Not really a fear or annoyance, but I've had 2 dreams in the last 2 weeks whereas my beloved Fluffy gets nicked. The wierd thing is, they are both different dreams and the car is stolen from different locations. I'm well happy when I wake up and realise it's a dream, however is there anything in these dreams.:scared:

It's an aux belt slim..controls the alt/waterpump, fans electric

I've had weewee moment on an old black 5 when my temp fix on the fan to battery wire caught alight on my way home once. That'll teach me to double up on speaker cable as a fix to get me home...it got me about half a mile

And when your window motor decides to pack up in a retail car park, sitting there banging the door card because you've no tools in the boot.
