I'm selling my raider project, It never took off to be honest, just havent got the time.

All ive done is strip it down, ive took the interior out apart from the dash, and ive took the exhaust system out, the turbo off, the inlet manifold and carb off, all the hoses and drained the oil.
ive taken off the front and rear bumpers, which are a bit battered. i took the side skirts off as they were knackered, and it will come with a new second hand set, which require painting.
i also took out the sunroof and the windscreen (new windscreen included).

all the parts are here, and included in sale to build a full car.
I cannot comment on the state of the engine, as it was never runing, but the guy i bought it off said they was a fuel leak(fixed) and flat battery.(recharged). it never started!

i think its a t25 turbo, and i was told it had a group A head. the exhaust is 2.5'' all the way through and the tail pipe is 4'' outward rolled.

bodywork wise, it require a new set of inner and outer sills, new boot floor, new front floor extension panels. It comes with a set of ashys inner sill repair panels, and a set of outer panels, which are a bit rusty!

The interior is in god condition, and is the proper raider blue fleck detail.

round the windscreen theres some cosmetic rust, but it hasnt gone right through, and im not sure about the rear windows as i havent took them out yet. theres some rust around the fuel cap, and the bottom corners of the doors are just showing signs of rust.

i dont want to go under £500. Id get a grand if i broke it, but its the time and hassle of doing so.

how much rust was on it when you had it? not sure wot to do with the shell yet, mite keep it and try and sort it out. was it a good motor when you had it?

Lots, it was borderline reshell but mechanically it was bulletproof did 10k in a year with no problems

most r5s you get now will require a pair of sills , inner and outer, imo, Personally id stick with the shell you have..

So ok, you may land lucky with a half descent shell, but its far better to have somthing that you have welded so you know its sound.

Id begin stripping it down to bare shell and start saving soem wonga.

Places to check imo,

jacking points, inner & outer siller, inner front wings,

then this ones important, take out the drivers side rear grill thing in the boot, look in there and if you can see rust then... > remove drivers rear wheel, remove the filler neck, and you will find crap gets behind the filler tube and causes the area behind to rust. This area is often missed when cars get rust removed/welded.

needs new sills, new drivers/pass floor pan and not sure wot else yet, im still searching

if the boots in that state then i would hate to see what the rest is like. i cant beleive i scrapped a car with minimal windscreen rust when people are paying good money for cars like this.

i know i did the head gasket for him shortly after selling it, after spending the whole day i sold it explaining that its old, fragile and treat it with respect... i didn't hear from him after i fixed it i didn't realise he destroyed it again :sad2:
