is it possible to strip/refurbish the dizzy drive gear?
do they even require refurbishing?

i was thinking of shot blasting it.!

not alot of point cleaning unless its dirty, i was more worried about the wear on the teeth, considering it drives both the oil pump and distributor.

Cleaning it wont give any issues if you have a spare id assess the best one of the two teeth wise, wear here causes play between the cam and the distributor timing.

TBH there is nothing at all in them that is going to get damaged.. I cut one up recently to make a blank (for the efi set-up)

All it is, is a shaft with a bearing at the top and bottom.

Raj,

I thought you'd sold the white GTT and that once it was gone that was it for you and R5's bud? Don't get me wrong, it's great to have you around still :)

Do you still have the white one then? And is it the dizzy drive out of there that you're fiddling with? If so, I didn't think there was anywhere mechanical on that motor that you hadn't been round three times already!
