Cams reprofile and blanks

Right guys

After getting a cam I am getting a 285 piper for my c1j.

What's the pros and cons with getting a reprofile or a blank ? Apart from the massive price difference ??

Sometimes you run out of adjustment on the valve clearance with a re-profiled cam unless you can get hold of the longer pushrods.
We had this problem when the 285 went into Dave Clarks cup car, we had two different lenght pushrods, the longer ones sorted it.
