I have recently started sorting my 5 out to get back on the road. Its not been started since 2005 so it should be fun BUT..........

I got underneath it today and noticed it has neons on it!!!:sad2: What was I thinking when I fitted those??lol

Anyone else made any silly mistakes with their 5's?:)

I am not sure the neons even work....i hope they dont:)

Liam, I know you said you'd dropped some clangers mate but fitting neons has to be the biggest of them all!!!

I fitted the alloys today Craig, they look ace thanks. But like you say, the neons are awful. They will def be gone soon. Along with the amp and sub in my boot:scared:

What colour are the neons? I had green neons on my old kitted up mondeo....

I actually dont mind neons, never see them now days... Think i have my old kit in the garage... Wouldnt see the harm in fitting them on the 5 for a laugh one day :)

the springs in the centre plate ground a groove into the flywheel bolts. i turned it around and it was fine . lol

i had a 5 at 17 and had it sprayed up in mg yellow (ALI G STYLE):scratch: and fitted it with loads of tv's and race-x sh**e from romac.must have spend about 4k on lights and dvd players and sold it for £650.

last time i seen it it was on ebay for £600 F625 JHA.

i had neons on my 5 only took them off as the garage where i get mot broke 1 so only have 3 and i dont drive much at night so they didnt get much useage

When I was 18 I had a mate with a mint g plate tungy with 70k bald tyres, needed a service and he could cover the insurance again.. Offered it to be for £800, I said no :sad:

i not only put in clutch plate the wrong way, dropped a tappet nut into the engine and ran it so the rod jumped out the front of the block, or backfired it till it dropped a valve... but i also built this....

That's definitely a 'stupid' thing to do to a 5 (although it did look like it was done to a good standard), but at least it wasn't a gt turbo :D

The most stupid thing I've ever done on a 5 is to modify my old white 5. I bought it in 2000, as a 2 owner, full Renault history, completely oe minter. Then I ruined it :cry:

Mine would have to be going sideways for 50 meters or so then into a telegraph pole then a wall!

Also being charged £649 by a local garage to adjust the torsion bar and fit new rear shocks! They definatly saw me coming:cartman:
