whats the best/easyest way to fit a bolt in cage? do i make up plates weld them to the car and bolt the cage to them, or just drill through the floor and make up a plate for the underneath of the floor and bolt to that?
Make plates up, weld them in from the top, dummy fit cage and mark, then remove cage, drill holes then put it all together. I started fitting my rear section and tightened 3/4 of the way then fitted the other mounts the same. I then stated to tighten the bolts up for the cage bit by bit, then nipped everything right up

thats what i was thinking, only prob will be getting someone else to weld the plates in.
Ideally, the plates want to be L shaped so that they not only weld to the floor but also up the inside of the inner sill aswell. Alot less likely for the cage to punch a hole through the floor that way :)

inner sill is pretty much just glued to the floorpan so welded floor and sill is a must for any kind of strength!
