View Full Version : How many miles has your gt turbo done this year
Just wondering how many miles you guys have done this year or between last mot's.
My car just got mot'd last Monday and passed and i have done a grand 1200 miles, some of it due to a few car issues but mostly due to the ******* weather in this country.
I had 3 events planned for this year, did one, missed one due to gearbox fail and got rained of for the last, i hope this is not how its going to be next year. My car is pretty much getting tucked up for winter now i think
about 12 , to the bodyshop and back.. been fully insured for that time aswell.

i drive mine every day! i dont understand this "they're unreliable" lark?? i'd happily drive mine to china if the roads were available :)
Mine usually clocks just under 1000 miles a month. Once all the niggles at sorted I generally just fix wear and tear!

Strangely the 5 i clocked most miles in on the road the last 3 years was my old cup car....
The red 5 is now mot'd, insured just need to sort some tax for it & use it... Will be a daily driver come feb & i cant wait :)
Mines done a couple of hundred if im lucky lol.
Next year will be different tho. Gettin most bits sorted over winter so i can use it next year.

About 1,200 miles this year. I'd happily use it daily if it wasn't a chore moving other cars around to get him out.
It's been handy for when my 'reliable diesel daily' has been off the road, and it was my long distance eco car last year

Im annoyed because its the weather that pretty much hinders me, i get up check the weather via my i phone, then asses the situation whilst walking the dog, then check the weather on the tv at 7.30 just before i leave
The only water my car will see is the jet wash, never mind
Oh and my convertibles done prob 5 miles in about 6-8 years lol.
Then again my m3s only done 10k in 10years
And thats my everyday car so to speak lol. My vans so nice i use that all the time lol.

I have done about 20 runs at pod, plus drove it there and back once and been out two or three times looking for some expensive cars to embarrass, ohh and did 400 miles of working the new engine in.
So that's almost my 1500 insurance miles per year done, must get it out at least one more time before the tax runs out;)
I actually used my gtt as an everyday car for almost 5 years, never ever let me down! Broke a few times but always made it home:D
Looking back I'm not sure how i managed, driving a nice modern car as a daily hack showed me how expensive and hard work they are as an everyday car.
