It was grey, i had it all shot blasted and powder coated in my rebuild and its now black, i thought it was strange that it was grey from the factory, but then again the whites are the most special especially the j plates :p

J reg clio's are grey... maybe it was leftover clio paint

thank for the reply under all the dirt, oil an rust there are grey parts on it this a j plate white 5 as well so maybe the last few had grey subframes
