brought an aem afr off scoff and not too sure what readings i should be aiming for.. going to start messing with my mixture screw when i get one in and was wondering what numbers i need to be aiming for.. i.e at tickover and on boost. read the instructions but they might aswell be in spanish :sad2:

im guessing when the gauge is in the green.. i.e 11's and 12's thats good?

any help greatly appreciated. :)

Ilde should be around the 14.5 or where it feels ok

Off boost driving around 14.5 again

On boost you want to see around 12.1, no higher then 12.5

Way to rich @ idle - should be about 14.7 parts Air to 1 part fuel (14.7 : 1) and slightly rich on boost, should be about 12 parts air to 1 part fuel (12:1)

What i meant was sometimes some cars (not all) seem to run alittle better slight rich on idle. One was my old campus, i set it to 14.5 but didn't feel quite right never idle smooth, soon as it was set to around 13.5 it idled lovely.
Ideally you want to aim for 14.5 but if its slightly off that it shouldn't be too much oif a problem.

firstly strip the carb and measure everything inc the venturi size, dont trust what is writen on anything use drill bits and verniers to measure

you may find a nasty group a carb and 150main jet lol

Ah but remember, your car still needs to pass the MOT. The c/o needs to be within the limit which may mean it doesnt idle smooth if the carb has been messed around with.

Totally agree mate, i wouldn't expect someone to put car through MOT with high emission's, i got to say with my old campus set to around the 13.5 mark it still went through
