I have a mk1 master with a 2ltr j5r engine and 5 speed gearbox, i would like to fit a more modern engine, preferably 16v flavoured, i'm not worried about ecu's, fuel pumps etc as i will be fitting an lpg injection system, what i need to know is what engine's can fit my gearbox? v6 would be ok as long as it's multipoint injection so it's easier to fit the lpg kit

Seems nobody has an answer.

In that case does anybody know what engines fit the 5gt gearbox? i have a F7R engine bolted up to my 5gt gearbox just now, so can remove that and trial fit it in my van to see if it fits.
